River Health

  • Five per cent and 16% of the total reference and test sites assessed with riffle habitat and edgewater habitat, respectively, were richer than reference.
     

  • Sixty-six per cent and 63% of the total reference and test sites assessed with riffle habitat and 63% edgewater habitat, respectively, were of in reference condition.
     

  • Twenty-two per cent and 19% of the total reference and test sites assessed with riffle habitat and 19% edgewater habitat, respectively, were below reference condition and impaired.
     

  • Five per cent and 1% of the total reference and test sites assessed with riffle habitat and edgewater habitat, respectively, were well below the reference condition and substantially impaired.
     

  • Three per cent of the total reference and test sites assessed with riffle habitat and no sites assessed with edgewater habitat were impoverished and severely impaired.
