Reserve system by IUCN class

Caption: The map depicts the bioregional variation in the extent of reserves and types of reserves. The coverage of Forest Reserves in the north of the State is evident, as are National Parks in the West. The general lack of any large reserves in the Northern Midlands and many parts of the south-east is also evident.
